Meet Laura Bower - The Heart of Nellie B's
A mum, teacher and party-lover turned entrepreneur. Laura created Nellie B's to bring fun, learning and safe experiences to children across Huddersfield and beyond.
How Nellie B's Began
Nellie B's is named after Laura's daughter, Nellie — the inspiration behind it all. What started as a few birthday parties for friends has grown into vibrant children's parties, fun-packed holiday clubs, and our Learning Hive online hub.
After 15 years as a primary school teacher, Laura wanted the freedom to spend more time with her family while still doing what she loves: creating memorable experiences for children. Nellie B's is the result — a hive of creativity, care and community.

Experience You Can Trust
With a degree in Psychology and a PGCE in Primary Education, Laura spent over 15 years shaping young minds in local schools, including supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
She holds up-to-date DBS checks, public liability insurance, and is fully trained in First Aid and Safeguarding. Nellie B's is actively pursuing Ofsted registration, underscoring our commitment to the highest standards.
This blend of academic rigour and hands-on experience means every Nellie B's activity is thoughtfully planned, age-appropriate and delivered with children's safety and enjoyment at heart.
Turning Passion into Play
Laura's love of teaching and her flair for creativity collide in Nellie B's. From dancing to the Cha Cha Slide every weekend to dreaming up new pamper party ideas, she pours energy and imagination into every event.
Her “why” will always be Nellie — showing her daughter that anything is possible while bringing joyful, enriching experiences to other families too.
